This project visualizes trends in remote work across countries and industries.
It draws on job-posting data and large-scale survey results to show how flexible
work arrangements have changed the labor market since 2020.

Occupation-weighted share of job postings advertising remote or hybrid work, 2019–2024.

Large-scale survey on remote-work preferences, productivity, commute, work-life balance,

Household Trends and Outlook Pulse Survey (HTOPS)
U.S. public-use respondent-level microdata used for the mental-health section.
The visualization uses HTOPS_HPS_2603_PUF.csv and derives a browser-ready
weighted summary, htops_mental_health_by_telework.csv, from workers who
reported doing paid work in the previous 7 days.
Mental-health outcomes include frequent loneliness, anxiety, worry, low interest,
and feeling down; telework groups are based on days worked from home in the previous
7 days.
Estimates use the person weight PWEIGHT. These views show associations by
recent telework intensity, age, and sex; they should not be read as causal effects
of remote work.

This project was built with open-source web tools:
D3.js for data visualization,
Scrollama for scroll-driven story steps,
and Vite for the development server and production build.
The site also uses standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
